Fix the source, not the symptom
We look for why your weight is stuck, not just how to bring the number down.
Work 1-on-1 with a Certified Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner and a dedicated functional medicine care team who look for what may be driving your weight and guide you through a plan built for your body.
Labs included · Self-pay · Telehealth · Now accepting California patients
Functional medicine is a root-cause approach. Instead of only managing symptoms, your Functional Medicine NP and care team look at how your hormones, metabolism, gut, sleep and stress work together, so your plan addresses what may be driving your weight and is designed to help you keep it off.
We look for why your weight is stuck, not just how to bring the number down.
Hormones, thyroid, insulin, gut health, inflammation, sleep and stress, reviewed together.
Addressing what's underneath supports results you can maintain, not a cycle of losing and regaining.
Leads your evaluation, reviews your labs and builds your treatment plan.

Guides your intake, lab scheduling and every next step.

Why we’re self-pay: insurance-based visits are often limited in time and in which labs can be ordered. As a self-pay practice, your NP can spend a full hour with you and test what truly matters for your weight.
From your first conversation to your personalized roadmap, our team guides you through every step.
After enrollment, your dedicated care coordinator welcomes you, assists with your medical intake, and takes time to understand your health history, weight-loss challenges, and personal goals.
Your metabolic and hormone lab panel is included. Your care coordinator assists with scheduling at a convenient laboratory location, with optional mobile phlebotomy where available. Additional fees may apply.
Lab results typically take 5–10 business days after sample collection, although processing times may vary.
During your private 60-minute telehealth consultation, your Nurse Practitioner reviews your lab results, discusses your health and weight history, and explores metabolic, hormonal, nutritional, and lifestyle factors that may influence your weight.
Your NP develops individualized recommendations based on your lab findings, health history, and goals. You'll receive personalized health insights, practical initial strategies, and recommended next steps to support your weight-loss journey.
At Elova Health, we believe your weight-loss journey deserves more than generic advice. We combine comprehensive testing, functional medicine expertise, and concierge-level care to help you better understand your health and make informed decisions about your next steps.

Kaye Toranzo, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, FMACPBoard-Certified Nurse Practitioner · Certified Functional Medicine Provider
“My labs were 'normal' too.”
Kaye knows what it’s like to feel exhausted and struggle with your weight while being told everything looks fine. She founded Elova so women get a clinician who takes the time to look for the cause, and stays with them while they fix it.

“My body is changing, and what used to work isn’t working anymore.”
“I’m gaining weight differently than I ever have.”
“It’s been a year. Everyone keeps telling me to give it time.”
“I came off the medication and the weight is coming back.”
“I want someone qualified to tell me if peptides are right for me.”
Told your labs are “normal” but still don’t feel like yourself? That’s exactly where we start.

Individual results vary. Results depend on many factors, including each person’s health history and how closely they follow their personalized plan. Photos shared with written patient permission.
Elova goes beyond a lab test by combining your Metabolic & Hormone Panel with a comprehensive health and weight history review, a dedicated 60-minute, 1:1 Nurse Practitioner consultation, and a personalized wellness plan.
Your NP considers your results alongside your symptoms, lifestyle, weight journey, concerns, and goals, takes time to explain your findings and answer your questions, and develops individualized recommendations based on your health picture.
You’re going from questions to a personalized plan: data, interpretation, and personalized direction.
There isn't always one single reason for difficulty losing weight, and no evaluation can guarantee a specific finding.
The evaluation provides a broader set of health information to help guide an individualized discussion about your weight, metabolic health, and overall wellness.
Absolutely. Weight regain after stopping GLP-1 medications is common. At Elova, we look beyond the scale to evaluate your metabolism, hormones, and other factors that may be contributing to weight regain. Our goal is to help you understand your body and develop a personalized plan for sustainable weight management.
Functional medicine is a root-cause approach. Instead of only treating symptoms, it looks at how your hormones, metabolism, gut health, sleep and stress work together to understand what may be driving your weight. Addressing those underlying factors is what helps make results easier to maintain long term.
Elova is self-pay. That's what allows your NP to spend a full hour with you and order the testing that matters, without insurance limits. Your labs are included in the $997, so you don't need insurance to start.
